CSD - Certificate in Scientific Diving

Students will be able to demonstrate basic diving skills such as; proper entry and exit from the water, proper use of diving equipment, and underwater signals for safety and rescue.

Students will be able to map, probe, conduct transects and conduct safe and proper environmental sampling techniques and quantitative analysis.

Students will be able to effectively communicate, discuss, and evaluate the management of marine natural resources (i.e. coral, vegetation, fish)

Students will have a basic understanding of coastal geomorphology as it applies to diving conditions, potential diving hazards, and marine ecology.
