MPM - Minor in Public Management

Baccalaureate degree students may select a minor in a different field of study to complement their major.  An academic minor allows students to expand their educational experience by exploring a particular subject or subjects in sufficient depth to gain competency. By completing a minor, a student can become familiar with an additional area of study which will supplement the expertise gained in the major.

The minor in Public Management provides students with key management competencies and decision-skills to support a wide range of organizations and complex policies. The minor will help address the growing need in the public and non-profit sectors for employees with strong management skills and a public service mindset. The Public Management minor is an excellent complement to majors in Business, Psychology, American Studies, Criminal Justice, Environmental Science, Coastal Ecology, among others.
