Baccalaureate degree students may select a minor in a different field of study to complement their major. An academic minor allows students to expand their educational experience by exploring a particular subject or subjects in sufficient depth to gain competency. By completing a minor, a student can become familiar with an additional area of study which will supplement the expertise gained in the major.

Cyber Defense is a growing field within Business, Non-profits, and the Public sectors. This minor provides a unique opportunity for students to gain essential skills in cyber defense that can be applied in a wide variety of careers. This program is designed to allow students to grow their knowledge, skills, and abilities in cyber defense. The minor challenges students with real world problem-solving skills, helps them understand current industry tools and technology, while enhancing a student's skills for either public or private sector employment.
